BioMy name's Dan, aka The Dan. I'm finishing up a PhD in math soon, after which I will hopefully advance to a full-time teaching job. A large portion of my free time goes to puzzles and Rock Band, both of which I'm very good at, if I do say so myself. I'm also into performing as an actor and as a singer-songwriter, though opportunities have grown rarer lately. Ultimately, I seek a life with enough stability, flexibility, and companionship to keep me sane.
The interests list here is exceedingly out of date. If you want a more accurate list of my habits these days, Facebook is your best bet, until I port that list over here.
Finally, this is a social journal, so to keep it disjoint from my work life, it's now friends-only. If you would like to read it, ask me to add you to my friendlist, however I may not do so if (a) I don't know you, (b) I don't like you, or (c) you often post entries that make me wince.
